The Voce 40th centers on a refined 1" magnesium dome tweeter and twin 6.5" mids to deliver detailed treble, strong, natural midrange and surprising low-end authority for its size. Triangle's Magellan engineering yields robust cabinets and premium components noted by SoundStage Solo. Expect precise imaging and engaging dynamic punch.
Pros
Clear, extended treble from the TZ2900 magnesium-dome tweeter with horn flare, delivering high resolution and air.
Natural, well-bodied midrange and strong vocal presence from the 6.5" paper-cone mid drivers and a 3 kHz crossover.
High-end build and components — heavy, well-braced cabinets, premium crossover parts and refined veneers give a luxury finish.
Strong dynamics and headroom (91 dB sensitivity, 200 W handling and LHS2 cooling) for punchy, controlled performance in home cinema setups.
Cons
Positioned in the high-end price bracket, which may put it beyond budget-conscious buyers.
Passive-only design with conventional crossover/terminals — no built-in DSP, streaming or advanced connectivity features.

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 89/100
Bass
90/100
Dual 6.5" woofers and a specified -3dB low end of 50Hz give this center speaker notably deep and controlled bass for its size; the specification implies strong low-frequency authority without a sub for many uses. Rated 'for its size' given medium driver class and portless sealed-like response; that supports an excellent-for-size score.
Mid
90/100
Paper-cone 6.5" mid drivers and a dedicated 2-way crossover at 3kHz point to natural, well-bodied midrange and strong vocal presence. Triangle's engineering and the Magellan lineage suggest accurate timbre and clarity in the critical midband.
Treble
88/100
A 1" magnesium dome tweeter with a horn process and extension to 22kHz indicate clear, detailed top end with good air and extension. The tweeter material and horn loading imply high resolution with potential for pronounced presence but overall refinement is expected.
Soundstage Imaging
88/100
Center-speaker geometry, high sensitivity (91dB) and dedicated twin-mid layout support focused, stable imaging and precise dialog placement. The size and driver arrangement favor good centre-channel soundstage cohesion and depth.
Dynamics
90/100
91dB sensitivity and 200W power handling point to strong dynamic capability and punch for a center speaker, offering good headroom and responsiveness with typical amplifiers. Expected to handle transient and macro dynamics well in home cinema setups.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
92/100
Heavy 18.5kg net weight, magnetic grille, included stands and Triangle's Magellan branding indicate high-end construction, quality parts and careful cabinetry. Materials (magnesium dome tweeter, natural paper cones) and accessory kit reflect premium build and finish.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive single-post speaker baseline applied (no DSP/streaming expected). No bi-wire/bi-amp or special terminal features listed, so baseline passive score held at 80.
Value for Money
75/100
At a listed price of 3500 (single-unit range), the Voce 40th sits in high-end territory; its performance and build justify a strong but not bargain value score versus premium peers. Without comparative reviews, value is judged conservatively relative to competitors in the same price bracket.

Specifications
- Speaker use
- Power Handling : 200W * The power handling of a speaker is the average continuous power that the speaker can accept without damaging the drivers. You can use an amplifier more powerful than the permissible speaker power by limiting the volume to 70% of the maximum capacity. Conversely, an amplifier that is too underpowered will clip and create distortion, which can also damage the speakers if it is used beyond its capacity.
- Speaker Specifications
- • Type : Center speakers • Crossover : 2 Ways • Sensitivity (dB/W/m) : 91dB • Bandwith (+/-3dB Hz) : 50Hz-22 000Hz • Nominal impedance : 8Ω • Minimum impedance : 3,6Ω * The impedance of a speaker can be simplified as an electrical resistance. The lower is the impedance of the speaker, the more current the amplifier will have to deliver. - Nominal impedance is measured at a frequency of 1kHz - Minimum impedance is measured at low frequencies. TRIANGLE loudspeakers never fall below 3 Ohms, which means they can be used with almost all Hi-Fi and Home Cinema amplifiers.

Premium Center Channel - Magellan Voce 40th
The ideal complement for an exceptional home theater system, the MAGELLAN Voce 40th is a 2-way center channel designed to reproduce dialogues. Its sealed enclosure delivers warm and detailed vocals. The work conducted on its directivity minimized the placement issues usually encountered with this type of speaker.
The TZ2900 horn tweeter features a next generation dome in magnesium alloy that reveals the finest details of the soundtracks of your movies or series.
To achieve this level of accuracy and precision in the vocal register essential to TRIANGLE, the 2 drivers feature a paper diaphragm and small pleat suspensions emblematic of the brand. The curved shape of the cabinet is made of successive layers of high-density fiberboard, each 3mm thick. It offers excellent rigidity and excludes any internal parallels, thus avoiding any sound coloration.
The Magellan Voce 40th is TRIANGLE’s response for improving the performance of home theater and multichannel music systems. The S08C speaker stand designed specifically for this model is available as an option.
S08-C speaker stand
The S08-C speaker stand is dedicated for this premium center channel. Its upper part has been specially designed to accommodate the curved shapes of the Magellan Voce 40th. Positioned at the optimal height, the S08-C allows a perfect reproduction without interfering with the visibility of your television or projection screen.
Perfectly stable, the S08-C absorbs unwanted resonances to accurately reproduce the subtleties of the soundtrack and guarantee perfect intelligibility of dialogue.
Equipped with watertight tubes, you can add granular sand or tiny steel balls to ballast the stand and increase stability. (Triangle ballast balls sold separately)
