Specifications
Manufacturer's Description — Sonus Faber
PURE AND PRISTINE SOUND
The Flagship of the Olympica Collection and a true expression of Sonus faber’s Natural Sound signature.
A SONIC MARVEL
Olympica V boasts three woofers for powerful low frequencies. Combined with mid-high frequencies, it delivers detailed, warm, and enchanting sound. The asymmetrical lute-shaped cabinet minimizes internal resonances for pure sound.
MATERIA E FORMA
A refined expression of Sonus faber design, where handcrafted wood, aluminum details, and sculptural proportions come together in perfect harmony.
THE EVOLUTION OF DESIGN
The Olympica V features a 3-way ported tower design with a striking combination of wood veneer and grey matte sandblasted metal parts. The front baffle, like the cabinet sides, are made in walnut or wenge hand-finished natural wood.
ART OF PRECISION
l'ARTE DELLA PRECISIONE
Where engineering precision reveals the natural emotion of sound.
Behind every Olympica model lies a precise balance of acoustic engineering, refined materials, and Sonus faber craftsmanship, designed to deliver sound with clarity, depth, and natural emotion.
CAMELIA MIDRANGE
At the heart of Olympica I is the Camelia midrange driver, originally developed for Suprema and crafted to reproduce the most essential part of the acoustic spectrum with exceptional resolution. Inspired by the natural geometry of the camellia flower, its non-circular membrane helps reduce unwanted resonances while offering its full surface to the listener. The result is remarkable transparency, vocal realism, and the unmistakable natural sound of Sonus faber.
Cork Damping Structure
In Olympica III and Olympica V, the tweeter and midrange are housed in a dedicated closed acoustic chamber, designed to enhance driver performance. This internal volume is damped with a specific cork structure, developed through computer simulations and shaped into an organic form. Natural and sustainable, cork plays a key role in improving resolution and preserving the natural character of the midrange.
Aluminum Details
Olympica G3 evolves toward a more refined and contemporary aesthetic through matte grey sandblasted aluminum elements. The design is enriched by polished 45-degree chamfers, adding a subtle touch of brightness and sophistication to the overall look while emphasizing the precision of every detail.
