The Gravis III brings fast, tightly defined bass and near-invisible speaker integration to a beautifully crafted sealed subwoofer. Tyler Stripko praised its musical pitch precision and seamless blend, while Vince Hanada found its dynamic impact compelling for both music and film. Comprehensive app-based EQ makes this a refined, room-friendly foundation for high-end systems.
Pros
Exceptionally fast, tight bass with outstanding pitch definition and musical detail.
Blends seamlessly with main speakers, creating a convincing single full-range presentation.
Extensive app control includes effective Auto EQ, parametric EQ, crossover, phase, delay, and presets.
Premium leather-and-wood cabinet construction delivers unusually elegant subwoofer styling.
Cons
Does not deliver true 20Hz extension or the maximum output and room pressurization sought for very large home-theater spaces.
Compression can become audible at very high playback levels.
Crossover and phase controls require the app, and wireless use needs an optional transmitter.

What Reviewers Are Saying
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Bass
90/100
Reviewers found the Gravis III unusually capable for a compact sealed 10-inch subwoofer: it measured with solid output to roughly 22-25Hz and delivered deep hits with excellent note definition and chest-felt kick. It excels from about 30Hz upward, although one reviewer heard compression at the driver's limits and noted it does not offer the ultra-deep reach or large-room output of bigger reference setups.
Integration
94/100
Integration was a clear strength in both listening reports. One reviewer heard “no sense of a subwoofer running,” saying the system sounded like a single full-range speaker, while another described the blend with minimonitors as “perfect” and seamless.
Dynamics
89/100
The sealed alignment was repeatedly praised for fast, tight transients, with crisp impacts, forceful percussion, and movie effects that could be physically felt. It has convincing punch in an appropriately sized room, but it did not match a dual-sub reference system’s breath-taking scale, and compression emerged at very high output.
Build Quality
94/100
The Gravis III drew strong praise for its construction, including extensively braced thick-HDF cabinetry, leather covering, hand-applied wood top finishes, and substantial metal grille posts. HomeTheaterHifi likewise called the construction excellent, down to the satisfying action of the volume control.
Features Usability
91/100
The Gravis app provides unusually comprehensive setup tools, including variable crossover and phase, four presets, eight-band parametric EQ, delay, auto-EQ, and adjustable auto-on behavior; reviewers found Auto EQ effective. Connectivity is also broad, with RCA, XLR, and high-level Speakon inputs, though crossover and phase adjustments require the app and wireless operation requires the optional transmitter.
Value for Money
88/100
At $2,750-$2,995, reviewers acknowledged that this is an expensive single 10-inch subwoofer, particularly for buyers seeking subsonic extension or massive large-room output. However, HomeTheaterHifi concluded that its design and ability to substantially improve a music system make it “worth every penny” for the right buyer.
