The Signature Elite ES15 delivers full-bodied bass, a warm, detailed midrange and impressively stable imaging from a compact cabinet. Cheap Audio Man found its soundstage expansive, its construction unusually inert, and its smooth treble easy to enjoy at volume. For rich vocals, acoustic texture and relaxed all-day listening, this is a seriously persuasive bookshelf speaker.
Pros
Strong, weighty bass extension for a compact 5.25-inch bookshelf speaker, without masking midrange detail.
Warm yet detailed midrange gives male vocals and acoustic instruments a rich, smooth presentation.
Convincing soundstage and focused imaging, with seamless left-to-right placement and centered voices.
Excellent cabinet bracing and fatigue-free treble make it a strong value at its price.
Cons
Treble is smooth rather than especially airy or crisp, with less top-end sparkle than some rivals.
Bass is slightly emphasized and can sound somewhat thick; a subwoofer is needed for full-range depth.

What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 88/100
The ES15 is voiced for an easy, warm and full-bodied listen, with bass output that belies its compact cabinet and enough detail to avoid sounding dull. Review evidence particularly favors its smooth midrange, unfatiguing nature, and convincing imaging, while the top end is described as slightly restrained rather than especially airy.
Bass
89/100
For a 5.25-inch stand-mount, the ES15 is reported to deliver notably strong extension and weight, with the reviewer suggesting its 44Hz specification may be conservative. Bass is slightly emphasized and a little thick, but it remains controlled enough not to obscure midrange detail.
Mid
89/100
The midrange is described as smooth, warm and still detailed. Male vocals and the lower registers of acoustic guitar gain a welcome richness, making this a particularly inviting presentation for long listening sessions.
Treble
84/100
Treble is smooth, detailed and deliberately non-fatiguing rather than forward or highly sparkling. The reviewer notes some roll-off and limited air compared with crisper alternatives, so listeners seeking a very open, incisive top end may want more.
Soundstage Imaging
88/100
Close-up listening produced a soundstage extending behind the speakers, with centered vocal images and seamless left-to-right movement. The reviewer also found the vertical presentation stronger than expected at this price, giving the ES15 a persuasive sense of placement.
Dynamics
87/100
The ES15 is said to punch harder than its modest dimensions suggest, helped by its substantial bass output. It can also be played loudly without becoming shouty or fatiguing, though the reviews provide limited detail on ultimate large-room headroom.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
91/100
The reviewer reports improved crossover work and cabinet bracing, describing the enclosure as notably inert. Build quality is considered excellent for the asking price and among the best-braced Polk designs short of the more expensive Reserve range.
Value for Money
92/100
At roughly $269 to $299 per pair, the ES15 is highly recommended by the reviewer and called one of the best speakers currently available. Its combination of compact size, substantial bass, smooth tuning and solid cabinet construction makes it a particularly competitive option among affordable bookshelf speakers.
