What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 92/100
The Concorde Music Bronze is described as polished, smooth and detailed, combining an even tonal balance with an engaging sense of drive. Its presentation is particularly strong in groove security, low-level insight and stereo focus, though the very biggest dynamic peaks are softened slightly.
Overall Sound
91/100
StereoNET found the sound impressively polished yet highly engaging, with a smooth, expressive vocal range and substantial information around instruments. Tonal balance is described as broadly even, with a small lift in the upper registers; bass is taut and sinewy rather than especially weighty, and extreme peaks are slightly restrained.
Tracking Retrieval
93/100
The nude Fine Line stylus is praised for digging deeply into the groove while remaining secure. The review reports deep recording insight, secure tracking and low end-of-side distortion, all suggesting confident tracing and strong retrieval of recorded detail.
Soundstage Imaging
91/100
The reviewer was highly impressed by the cartridge's strong stereo imaging. It also produced plentiful atmosphere and ambience, giving recordings a notably spacious and involving presentation.
FEATURES USABILITY PERFORMANCE 86/100
Tonearm compatibility and system fit are good for the intended S-shaped, SME-headshell turntable audience, with less relevance for straight-arm or fixed-headshell designs.
Tonearm Compatibility
86/100
Its integrated Concorde format makes installation especially simple on S-shaped tonearms using SME-type headshell fittings. At 18g it is easier to balance in modern arms than the original low-mass Concorde, while the 6mV moving-magnet output should work comfortably with conventional MM phono stages.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
90/100
The Concorde Music Bronze incorporates a mass ring, top and bottom panels, sturdier stylus mounting and replaceable finger lifts carried over from the revised Concorde construction. These practical updates indicate a thoughtfully reinforced and user-conscious design, although the review does not address long-term durability.
Value for Money
93/100
At around $399/£399, the reviewer considers its performance as good as anything available for the money in this respect. The combination of refined sound, secure Fine Line tracking and unusually straightforward installation makes the asking price look highly competitive among similarly capable cartridges.

Iconic design
Building upon a rich legacy which began when we launched the original Concorde, the Concorde Music holds a storied history as one of the most famous cartridges in the world of audio.
Originally developed as a solution to the challenge of easy mounting on a tonearm without screws or wires, the Concorde's unique design earned the Danish Industrial Design Award and became an icon in
the audio industry.
Stylus
The Concorde Music Bronze, featuring a Nude Fine Line stylus on an Aluminum cantilever, offers an upgrade from the Concorde Music Blue.
The shape of the Nude Fine Line diamond provides more faithful tracking of the groove. Unlike the Elliptical shape, the Fine Line has a narrower profile, yet its prolonged shape ensures sufficient contact with a wide area of the groove. Experience your music with a whole new dimension of precision.
Rubber suspension
A crucially important and vital part of a phono cartridge overall performance is the stylus rubber suspension.
Exclusive Ortofon rubber compounds are used for the stylus suspensions in the Concorde Music Bronze, carefully produced at the inhouse rubber production, and developed by the research and engineering team at Ortofon for brilliant performance.
Coil system
The Concorde Music features Ortofon's quad-coil generating system with four split pole pins. Silver-plated oxygen-free copper is chosen for the quad-coil system, along with four Ortofon split pole pins.
This results in exceptional channel balance and separation, delivering precise and dynamic sound. With a 6 mV output, it offers lifelike sound with exceptional clarity and fidelity, capturing every detail.
Compatibility
Installing the Concorde Music cartridge on your turntable is easy and straightforward; no tools are required, making it hassle-free and convenient for all users. This is thanks to the bayonet/SME connector, which makes it compatible with all S-shaped tonearms.
Upgradeability
The Concorde Music Bronze can be replaced or upgraded with all Concorde Music styli, enabling an upgrade path throughout the entire series up to the Concorde Music Black LVB 250.
Upgrading the stylus is a simple task; simply pull the stylus off and replace it with the new one. Remember to keep the stylus guard on when installing the new stylus to keep the needle safe.
Award-Winning Performance
The Ortofon Concorde Music Bronze has been recognized by two of the audio industry’s most respected voices.
