Manufacturer's Description — Ortofon
The goal of any cartridge should be to reproduce sound as closely to the artist's vision as possible, and the 2M Blue takes you further on this journey toward authenticity. The 2M Blue is mounted on our classic SH-4 headshell, making the setup process easy.
Accuracy level
The goal for any cartridge should be to reproduce the sound as close to the artist's vision as possible, and the 2M Blue takes you further on this journey of authenticity. With the 2M Blue, you get serious about listening to vinyl.
Compatibility
Experience the convenience of the 2M Blue Premounted – a smart and refined choice for those seeking straightforward installation and effortless replacement on their S-shaped tonearm. The SH-4 headshell's resilience and stability are enhanced by its slender and refined design. A robust yet lightweight construction, coupled with an ergonomic, extended finger lift, ensures easy handling and pickup.
Stylus
The Nude diamond is cut in an Elliptical shape, and when it hits the groove it is like travelling through both space and time to the very moment the music was recorded.
Exploring the lineup
The 2M series is built on our philosophy of accuracy in sound. All our experience, know-how, technology, and innovation has gone into making it the series that lets you hear the music the way the artist intended. In every piece of every cartridge, we strive for perfection, and when the technology can’t deliver the quality we want - we invent something that can. To ensure the highest of quality in our product we keep everything close. All our cartridges are designed and crafted right here in Denmark.
The 2M Series is developed in conjunction with the Danish Industrial designer Møller Jensen Design. Inspired by the facets of a diamond, whose contours gracefully trace the grooves on a record’s surface, the 2M’s handsome elegance establishes a great combination of form and functionality.
Output
The engine provides an increased output of 5.5 mV optimized sound reproduction and a high level of sonic accuracy. The 2M Blue adds more dynamics and resolution, sounds more open, and reproduces more details compared to the 2M Red model.
