The O/93 pairs lifelike vocal presence with a vast, precise soundstage, delivering deep, taut bass and fluid tonal colour from a compact high-sensitivity floorstander. HiFi News admired its scale and transparency, while Part Time Audiophile found it compelling with both low-power valves and muscular amplification. Exquisite hand-built cabinetry completes a speaker engineered to disappear and let music breathe.
Pros
Expansive, highly specific soundstage with an exceptional ability to disappear into the room.
Deep, taut and controlled bass combines strong room-filling authority with convincing low-octave weight.
Highly sensitive, dynamically expressive performance works superbly with low-power amplifiers yet accommodates substantial power.
Lavish hand-built cabinetry and finely executed wood finishes earn consistent praise.
Cons
Performance is sensitive to room placement and the flooring beneath the speakers, so careful setup matters.

What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 96/100
Reviews describe an unusually complete, emotionally direct presentation: weighty and controlled bass, vivid vocal realism, airy treble, and exceptional disappearance into a large, precisely organized acoustic space. It is also praised for combining low-level sensitivity with convincing slam and scale when played loudly.
Bass
96/100
HiFi News found no woolliness from the ported cabinet, describing bass that creates an “impeccable foundation.” Part Time Audiophile was impressed by how easily the O/93 pressurized its room, with unexpectedly deep, taut extension and substantial low-octave authority.
Mid
96/100
The midrange is repeatedly portrayed as fluid, natural, and physically convincing. Ken Kessler heard exceptional flow and liquidity, while Rafe Arnott praised voices for their chest resonance, fleshed-out nuance, and organic presence.
Treble
93/100
Treble evidence is less extensive than for the bass and midrange, but what is reported is highly favorable. Cymbals are said to crash, sparkle, and decay through the air convincingly, supporting the broader descriptions of freshness and modern transparency.
Soundstage Imaging
97/100
Spatial performance is a major strength. HiFi News heard an extraordinarily huge stage with unusually specific images and a panel-speaker-like vanishing act, while Part Time Audiophile found recording-space cues and performer placement distinctly rendered.
Dynamics
96/100
The O/93 is praised for sounding alive at both ends of the dynamic range. Reviewers heard honest slam, fast leading edges, tactile percussion, large-scale weight, and the ability to move from barrel-chested authority to quiet, empathetic expression.

Build Quality
96/100
Reviewers describe the hand-built cabinet work as lavish and exceptionally well finished, with close attention to construction details. The figured wood finishes are repeatedly singled out as exquisite, and HiFi News places the cabinetry among the finest it has encountered.
Value for Money
87/100
The O/93 is an expensive speaker, listed around £9,998 per pair by HiFi News and historically positioned at $8,400 beneath the $12,000 O/96. Reviewers frame that price as buying lavish cabinetry, high sensitivity, and a cohesive O/96-inspired concept in a more compact format, though there is little direct comparison with similarly priced rivals.
