The wireless control and high-resolution streaming flexibility make DALI’s Sound Hub a sleek command center for active systems. In SoundStage Solo, Gordon Brockhouse found it easy to live with, broadly connected, and capable of seamless 24/96 PCM transmission—though he did note a brief spell of static interference. It’s a practical, polished hub for a serious modern DALI setup.
Pros

What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 91/100
Reviewers describe the Sound Hub’s role in a system that sounds open, finely sorted, and lively, with the active DALI setup delivering excellent clarity and control. The comments tied to this platform point to strong resolution, convincing spatial presentation, and easy musical drive rather than any obvious coloration or congestion.
Transparency Resolution
90/100
The reviews praise the system’s ability to reveal fine detail, from the tactility of cymbals and guitar articulation to the clearly outlined piano image and microdynamic nuance. That points to a clean, revealing presentation that lets small expressive details come through clearly.
Tonal Balance Musicality
89/100
The overall character comes across as refined and engaging, with the music described as expressive, exciting, and easy to return to. There are no signs of obvious harshness or gloss; instead, the presentation seems natural and musically persuasive.
Dynamics
93/100
Dynamics are described in especially strong terms, with the system going from pianissimo to fortissimo in a heartbeat and resolving the gradations between. Reviewers also note a strong sense of rhythm and physical engagement, which suggests excellent vitality and drive.
Soundstage Imaging
92/100
The active DALI setup is said to throw a wide stage extending beyond the speakers, with clearly defined image placement and impressive depth, height, and breadth. That kind of spacious, well-organized presentation is a clear strength in the reviewed system.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
84/100
Reviewers describe the Sound Hub as a small, thoughtfully executed component that fits into a polished system, and the broader DALI hardware is presented as well-finished and carefully made. Direct discussion of the hub’s internal construction or long-term durability is limited, though, so the evidence is more about overall impression than detailed engineering commentary.
Features Connectivity
85/100
The Sound Hub offers a practical spread of connections: optical and coaxial digital inputs, RCA and 3.5 mm analog inputs, Bluetooth, a subwoofer output, and DALI’s proprietary wireless link to the speakers. That makes it useful and versatile for a modern active speaker system, even if it is not loaded with the kind of extra controls or processing found on more feature-heavy preamps.
Value for Money
88/100
The clearest value signal is system-level rather than hub-only: the reviewer calls the active DALI system a magnificent one and says it is worth hearing even as the total package pushes into serious money. For the Sound Hub itself, the price is not weighed against many direct peers, but the comments support a sense of justified premium rather than an obvious bargain.
