Designed for large rooms, the Oberon Grand Vokal centres on a natural, detailed midrange and exceptional dialogue clarity, underpinned by a pair of 7-inch SMC wood-fibre woofers for surprisingly deep, controlled bass and a 29 mm soft-dome tweeter that yields smooth treble and wide dispersion. Its high sensitivity also delivers lively dynamics and a spacious, coherent soundstage.
Pros
Natural, well-bodied midrange and clear vocal delivery ideal for centre-channel roles.
Deep, controlled low end from dual 7-inch SMC wood-fibre woofers, extending down to about 45 Hz for its size.
Wide dispersion and coherent soundstage aided by the oversized 29 mm soft-dome tweeter for smooth treble and imaging.
Cons
Large cabinet footprint designed for big rooms, which may be impractical in compact setups.
Passive single-wire connection limits bi-amping/bi-wiring flexibility.

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 91/100
Bass
92/100
Two 7-inch wood-fibre woofers and a specified low-frequency limit of 45 Hz indicate strong low-end extension and control for the driver size. Sensitivity (91 dB) and a wide recommended amp range support authoritative, well-controlled bass. Score reflects 'for its size' normalization for large (>7") drivers (excellent-for-size).
Mid
90/100
Wood-fibre cone mid/bass drivers and DALI's design heritage point to natural, well-bodied midrange and clear vocal presence. High sensitivity helps forward, detailed mids without needing excessive amp power.
Treble
89/100
29 mm soft-dome tweeter and spec'd extension to 26 kHz favor a refined, non-harsh treble with good extension. Soft-dome character suggests smoothness and low sibilance rather than extreme air/brightness.
Soundstage Imaging
91/100
Driver complement and crossover (2,500 Hz) imply coherent integration and wide, stable imaging typical of DALI designs. Configuration supports a spacious, well-layered soundstage for nearfield and mid-field listening.
Dynamics
90/100
High sensitivity (91 dB), 111 dB max SPL and broad recommended amplifier range (25–200 W) indicate strong micro/macro dynamics and good headroom for the form factor. Expect punchy transients and control.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
91/100
Dual wood-fibre drivers and DALI's placement in the market suggest robust cabinet engineering and quality components. Finish and driver materials point to solid overall craftsmanship.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive single-wire connection; passive baseline score applied.
Value for Money
82/100
At list price ~1250 (unit), this is a premium offering. Given the strong measured/specified performance (deep bass for size, high sensitivity, refined treble) it represents good value against similarly priced high-performance stand-mount/center designs, but it is not a budget bargain.
