The EPIKORE 3 delivers expansive imaging, transparent detail and unexpectedly authoritative bass from a lavish three-way standmount. HomeTheaterHifi admired its precise, unfatiguing presentation, while What Hi-Fi? praised its stable, deeply layered soundstage. With refined hybrid-tweeter air and furniture-grade build, it is a sophisticated high-end speaker for immersive long-form listening.

Pros

Exceptionally stable, expansive imaging with convincing depth and layering.

Highly transparent, precise treble and detail retrieval remain listenable at high volumes without fatigue.

Bass weight and presence outperform typical standmount expectations.

Immensely solid, beautifully finished cabinet delivers genuine luxury appeal.

Cons

Subtle dynamic shifts and rhythmic drive can feel restrained compared with more exuberant rivals.

Very deep, demanding basslines lack some articulation and low-end grip.

What Reviewers Are Saying

"The DALI Epikore 3 Bookshelf Speaker receives my highest recommendation."

— HomeTheaterHifi

"They play with as much or more bass than many towers I’ve heard and render music with a precision you won’t find outside a high-end electrostat."

— Audiophilepure

"The Epikore 3 transport us to the recording venue with a combination of stereo focus, layering and image depth that’s almost startling in its stability."

— What Hi-Fi

"There are no hard edges or signs of stress even when the speakers are pushed hard."

— Audiophilepure

"Sound stage is unexpectedly large considering the bookshelf format."

— best of high end

"The new line is a sense of “quietness” of the speakers, where the sound just comes through against a silent background."

— The Absolute Sound

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 93/100

Reviewers describe an unusually transparent, highly resolved standmount with a spacious and stable presentation, deep-reaching bass for its format, and refined high frequencies. Its character favours composure, control and long-session listenability over overt rhythmic excitement, with one review finding the lowest bass less tightly defined on demanding material.

Bass

93/100

For a 7-inch standmount, reviewers repeatedly found the bass exceptional: HomeTheaterHifi and Audiophilepure say it equals or exceeds the bass of many tower speakers, while Best of High End calls it rich, fast and punchy. What Hi-Fi finds the general weight pleasing but says very deep, demanding basslines expose slightly reduced articulation and grip.

Mid

93/100

The midband is presented as clear, transparent and well organised, with What Hi-Fi praising its detail resolution and ability to follow low-level instrumental lines through dense recordings. Best of High End also describes the midrange as layered and spacious, supporting the speaker's refined, revealing character.

Treble

94/100

The hybrid tweeter array earns especially strong praise for crisp, precise overtones, air and transparency without fatigue. Best of High End calls the highs open, refined and soft on the ear, while What Hi-Fi notes that toeing the speakers directly toward the listener can make the top end a little too prominent.

Soundstage Imaging

95/100

Soundstaging is a standout: HomeTheaterHifi calls it tremendous and forgiving of placement, while Best of High End found its scale unexpectedly large for a bookshelf design. What Hi-Fi reports strikingly stable stereo focus, layering and image depth that convincingly transports the listener to the recording venue.

Dynamics

88/100

The Epikore 3 stays composed and organised as music becomes demanding, and reviewers report clean playback at high volume without audible stress or listener fatigue. What Hi-Fi, however, finds subtle shifts in intensity somewhat subdued and the rhythmic drive a little restrained, so it is more poised than overtly explosive.

Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.

Build Quality

95/100

Construction and finish receive near-unanimous acclaim. Reviewers describe an immensely solid, elegantly curved cabinet, a stiff die-cast aluminium baffle, and furniture-grade finishes; HomeTheaterHifi goes as far as calling the build and finish unmatched.

Value for Money

88/100

At roughly $15,000 per pair before the matching stands, this is firmly a luxury purchase rather than an affordable high-end option. What Hi-Fi considers that it has the luxury aura to match its asking price, while the strongest reviews portray performance as rare among standmount speakers rather than calling it a bargain.
