The ASW608 brings tight, controlled bass to compact stereo and home-cinema systems, pairing an 8-inch long-throw driver with a sealed cabinet for agile, rhythmic low frequencies. Adjustable crossover, phase, bass-extension and roll-off controls support precise system matching, while line, speaker-level and 12V-trigger inputs make this a versatile compact subwoofer with serious integration credentials.
Pros
Established ASW608 model retained within Bowers & Wilkins’ 600 Series subwoofer lineup.

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 84/100
Bass
85/100
8in long-throw paper/Aramid driver in a sealed (closed-box) active design with bass-extension and roll-off alignment controls. Expect controlled, tight bass with respectable extension for an 8" sealed sub; not reference-class low-end. No reviewer measurements provided.
Dynamics
82/100
Sealed box plus long-throw driver favors quick, controlled transients and low overhang; useful for tight rhythmic delivery. Amplifier rating not specified in the sheet, so headroom estimates are conservative but dynamics should be strong for its size.

Integration
80/100
Good integration tools: phase switch, adjustable low-pass (and bypass), speaker-in binding posts and level controls all aid blending. Features ≠ Integration; add outcome evidence or lower Integration. With only spec-based evidence, I rate likely-easy integration but lacking reviewer confirmation of 'seamless' or 'disappears' behavior.
Build Quality
88/100
Bowers & Wilkins finish options, a solid 8.85kg chassis and restrained dimensions point to a well-built product with attention to enclosure rigidity and materials. No durability or construction issues reported (no reviews provided).
Features Connectivity
80/100
Stereo line-in (RCA), speaker-in binding posts, 12V trigger, low-pass with bypass and phase switch — comprehensive connectivity for both AV and two-channel setups. Passive baseline applied.
Value for Money
75/100
At the listed price (~700) it sits in the premium compact sub market. Brand prestige and tidy feature set justify a premium, but absence of review-based 'best in class' language and lack of measured performance data keeps value rating conservative.
