Engineering Philosophy

Odyssey is the most advanced turntable in the BennyAudio lineup and the culmination of years of experience gained through the design and refinement of analog playback systems.

Its architecture is built around a single objective: maximum control of mechanical energy and the creation of the most stable possible environment for cartridge performance.

The three-layer plinth, constructed from aluminum and POM, is decoupled from a massive base, forming a multi-stage resonance-control system. Each component is precision-machined from solid blocks of material, while both the plinth and the base rest on stainless-steel feet with porcelain inserts.

At the heart of Odyssey is a distinctive three-platter system made from Delrin and stainless steel, with a combined mass of 17 kg. Working in conjunction with a precision hydrodynamic bearing and an external BLDC motor housed in a dedicated enclosure, the drive system delivers exceptional rotational stability. Advanced motor control technology places Odyssey among the best-performing turntables measured using the SHAKNSPIN 2 tool.

An integral part of the design is the proprietary BennyAudio tonearm, available in a 14-inch version or custom lengths upon request. The arm offers full geometric adjustment and features internal single-crystal silver wiring throughout.

Every Odyssey turntable is assembled by hand and individually inspected before leaving the workshop.
