Value for Money

84/100

With fully automatic playback, a switchable phono stage and Bluetooth convenience, the AT-LP60XBT makes vinyl disarmingly easy. Andrew Robinson admired its lively detail, texture and vocal focus, while What Hi-Fi? found a coherent, balanced presentation with engaging timing. A compact, approachable deck built for fuss-free record sessions.

Pros

Fully automatic operation, built-in switchable phono stage and Bluetooth make setup and everyday playback exceptionally simple.

Delivers a coherent, balanced and entertaining sound with respectable timing and dynamics.

Offers impressive detail, texture retrieval and clear vocal focus for an entry-level turntable.

Cons

Thin plastic construction, lightweight controls and hollow platter feel notably budget-oriented; the platter can be prone to resonance.

Resolution and separation diminish with dense arrangements, where percussion and rhythmic drive can recede.

Bass weight is limited, and Bluetooth playback sacrifices some body, dimensionality and high-frequency texture.

The fixed cartridge limits upgrade and tuning options, while 10-inch records can be difficult to play.

What Reviewers Are Saying

"if you are contemplating getting into vinyl records and listening to vinyl records an analogue audio this is arguably the best starter turntable on the market right now"

— Andrew Robinson

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 81/100

The AT-LP60XBT delivers a coherent, enjoyable presentation with respectable timing and dynamics, and one reviewer was surprised by its detail, texture and vocal focus. Its limitations are most apparent with dense music, where detail, rhythmic drive and separation can recede; Bluetooth also trades away some body and high-frequency texture.

Overall Sound

84/100

What Hi-Fi found an entertaining, coherent sound with admirable timing, decent dynamics, balanced tonality and a smooth treble. Andrew Robinson heard notably strong detail, nuance, dynamics and vocal articulation, though he also found the presentation light in weight with limited deep bass; What Hi-Fi was less convinced by its resolving power on busy recordings.

Speed Stability

81/100

The deck offers straightforward 33⅓ and 45rpm operation, and What Hi-Fi described its timing as admirable rather than fully precise. That review also notes difficulty playing 10-inch records, so operation is not equally assured with every disc format.

Tonearm Performance

80/100

The automatic mechanism returns the tonearm to its rest at the end of a record, making everyday playback uncomplicated. The reviews provide little direct evidence about bearing quality, tracking precision or adjustment, beyond the convenience of the automatic operation.

Noise Isolation

77/100

Andrew Robinson found the lightweight, hollow platter prone to some resonance. What Hi-Fi also suggests the built-in phono stage can hold back the result through wired playback, although it found this less troubling with Bluetooth listening.

Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.

Build Quality

72/100

Both reviewers call out the thin-plastic construction, low mass and inexpensive-feeling controls. Andrew Robinson did not expect those materials to compromise reliability and felt it should provide years of regular use, but the physical experience remains notably budget-oriented.

Features Usability

92/100

This is a highly convenient deck, pairing fully automatic operation with a switchable built-in phono stage and Bluetooth with SBC and aptX support. It can handle much of the setup and playback process at the push of a button, though 10-inch records can be troublesome.

Value for Money

84/100

At around £179/$149, Andrew Robinson considered it an impressive machine for the money and felt buyers could do much worse. What Hi-Fi agreed that its feature set looks attractive at the price, but thought the cheap-feeling construction and need for extra equipment to reach a more satisfying wired performance weakened its appeal for more serious vinyl listening.
