Presto Music – now streaming on Linn

Presto Music, the specialist streaming service dedicated to classical, jazz and high-quality music listening, is now available in the Linn App, bringing seamless high-resolution music streaming to the Scottish company's range of award-winning network music players and systems.

From the versatile Majik and Selekt DSM all-in-one systems to the reference-level Klimax DSM, users can now enjoy direct access to Presto Music’s extensive catalogue of expertly curated recordings in outstanding high-resolution quality – all backed by Presto’s Fair Play initiative, which ensures artists are paid more fairly (per second of music streamed, rather than per track) than from other streaming services.

The integration is the latest in a fast-growing portfolio of partnerships with leading hi-fi brands and playback platforms – making it easier than ever for listeners to stream Presto Music’s expertly curated classical and jazz portfolio in the best possible sound quality, whichever system they choose. Presto Music already works seamlessly across a range of leading streaming ecosystems, as well as through the acclaimed Audirvāna audiophile playback platform.

It also marks another significant milestone in Presto Music’s continued international expansion. Following the streaming service’s rollout into multiple Asian territories last year, alongside broader global availability across Europe, North America and beyond, Presto Music is now accessible to music lovers in an increasingly wide range of countries through one of the world’s most respected high-performance streaming ecosystems.

Presto x Linn = a shared devotion to music

Few brands are as deeply woven into the history of home music listening as Linn. Founded in Glasgow in 1973, the family-owned Scottish company transformed the way people listen at home with the iconic Sondek LP12 turntable, then did so again in 2007 when it pioneered high-resolution network music streaming with the ground-breaking Klimax DS. Today, Linn continues to develop every part of the playback chain – from turntables and network music players to amplification, loudspeakers and software – with proprietary technologies designed to preserve the integrity of the music signal, minimising loss and reducing distortion to astonishingly low levels from source to sound. More than five decades on, the principle remains the same: to remove barriers between the listener and the performance and thereby bring people closer to the music they love.

Presto Music integration will become available with Linn’s upcoming over-the-air software update. Once installed, the service can be enabled within the Linn App, where it is fully integrated into Linn’s own in-house-developed control software for simple, seamless browsing and playback. Linn owners new to Presto Music will also be able to sign up for an extended, three-month free trial of the streaming service via a quick link in the Linn App.
